Recognizing outstanding police work is important. That’s why the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police is proud to recognize police officers and police professionals across Ontario on their remarkable achievements with annual awards.
This year’s awards recipients are as follows:
- OACP Traffic Safety Excellence Award: Sgt. Dwayne Barnes, Hamilton Police Service
- OACP Award of Excellence in Community Safety, Wellness, and Crime Prevention: Community Crime Unit, Sarnia Police Service
- OACP/CCN Catherine Martin Award of Excellence in Media Relations: Sault Ste. Marie Police Service’s Corporate Communications Team
- OACP Excellence in Information Technology/Services Award: Staff Sgt. Jason Diplacido and Staff Sgt. David Ghaznavi, York Regional Police
- OACP Excellence in Leadership Award: D/Cst. Adam Stover, Waterloo Regional Police Service
- OACP Award of Excellence in the Advancement of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity in Policing: Zoe Ali, Peel Regional Police
- OACP AGCO Award for Outstanding Investigation: Sgt. Goncalo Bernardo, York Regional Police
