Significant and effective changes to the rules around Suspension Without Pay (SWOP) that meet the expectations of Ontarians for both fairness for police personnel and respect for taxpayers have largely been resisted by successive governments in our Province. The OACP will continue to advocate for legislative changes that enhance the policing discipline system.
