Welcome Paul Pedersen!

Congratulations to Paul Pedersen on his commencement as OACP’s Executive Director. Paul continues the fine tradition of leadership from our past EDs, Jeff McGuire, Ron Bain, and Bill Malpass. After 33 years with the York Regional Police, he served as Chief of Police of the Greater Sudbury Police Service for the past ten years.

Paul has been connected to the OACP for 19 years as a committee member, Chair of several committees, a member of the Executive Board, and as the President of the OACP from 2019 to 2020. He is looking forward to serving the Board of Directors and the 1200+ members across the province through an active and collaborative approach to the work ahead. With a strong belief that leadership matters, and as the voice of police leadership in this province, Paul is committed to being member-focused and future-focused and to representing the collective voice of police leadership through the OACP.
