We Remember - July 26, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we pay our respects to Tim Smith, a passionate advocate for policing and public safety in Canada, who passed away on July 15, 2024. Tim dedicated nine years to the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP), guiding and supporting its government relations and strategic communications efforts. 

We join his family, friends, and colleagues in remembering Tim’s warm and friendly personality, his fierce passion for policing, and his undeniable impact through his work with the CACP. His professionalism, care, and dedication left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) expresses our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.
