Retail Organized Crime Conference
In collaboration with Loblaw Canada, Peel Regional Police are pleased to announce the first Retail Organized Crime Conference (ROCC) in Peel Region. The Retail Organized Crime Conference has been developed to educate and share best practices and lessons learned in relation to Organized Crime and its impact on the retail industry and public at large. The conference will also educate investigators and crime analysts on developing investigative strategies and reviewing trends to assist in making investigative decisions.
The agenda will include:
- Speakers from the United States (District Attorney of Georgia), as well as Ontario Crowns
- Crime Analysis and the importance of data and analytics to assist investigators
- Educating all in the sector on the capabilities of data
- Building partnerships for networking
- Halton / Peel Investigative overviews into a case involving a seizure of over 8 million dollars
- Intelligence on Transport Truck theft and Retail goods
- Community Safety Wellbeing (CSWB) and the model of upstream policing in relation to community support
- Perspective from retailers and the impact these crimes have on a Community
