CSPA Summit

Thank you to all Ontario Association of Chiefs of Policing (OACP) members who attended the recent Community Safety and Policing Act (CSPA) Summit, which took place in Mississauga on February 27 and 28, 2024. OACP President Chief Jim MacSween helped welcome more than 700 delegates to this much anticipated conference.

While we look forward to the enforcement of the Regulations governing the CSPA on April 1, the OACP continues to advocate to adjustments to some of the regulations. Senior police leaders attending the OACP’s upcoming Police CEOs Day in Ottawa on March 27 can look forward to further updates in the regs.
