The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) is leading a national effort to promote road safety during Canada Road Safety Week (CRSW), May 18 to 24, 2021. The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) and its Traffic Committee support the CACP’s efforts to help our roadways remain safe for everyone. To that end, we encourage all Ontario police services to access the CACP’s CRSW Toolkit available here.
The campaign, which features the theme #NotWorthTheRisk #NeVautPasLeRisque, focuses on behaviours that put drivers, passengers, pedestrians and other vulnerable road users most at risk:
- drug impaired driving
- alcohol impaired driving
- fatigue impaired driving
- distracted driving
- aggressive driving
- driving without a seatbelt
The toolkit includes a poster, social media content, template press release, a national factsheet and statistics. Please join us in this national effort to promote road safety in our province and across Canada.
