Members of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) came together from October 3 to 6, 2021, to make the 2021 Annual Conference a tremendous success. The event was sold out (with a total number of attendees of 228) and provided vital information for police leaders on critical issues such as legal issues shaping policing today, making equity, diversity, and inclusion part of the policing DNA, promoting effective and accountable recruitment of the next generation of police officers through the Constable Selection System, and making evidence-based policing a working reality in our profession.
The event was our association’s first in-person event in nearly two years, and the strict health protocols followed by attendees helped ensure a safe event for everyone. Thank you to police leaders who supported the Annual Conference as a great learning and networking event. Conference attendees, please ensure you complete the post-conference survey sent to you recently.
The next OACP Annual Conference will take place in Niagara-on-the-Lake from June 12 to 15, 2022. Mark your calendars!
