The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Larissa Pereira to the position of Communications Coordinator, effective immediately. Reporting to the Director of Government Relations and Communications, Ms. Pereira will support the OACP’s communications, advocacy, and member services initiatives.
Prior to joining the OACP, Ms. Pereira was the Field Manager at a Mississauga-based Explorer Research, where she was involved in the successful execution of consumer research projects in both domestic and international markets.
Ms. Pereira holds a Bachelor of Social Science – Criminal Justice (Honours) and a Diploma in Community and Justice Services (Honours) from Humber College in Toronto. She successfully completed an internship with the OACP in 2017 as well as an internship with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (MCSCS) in 2014, where she was responsible for the Minister’s schedule in preparation for the annual Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference, as well as assisting with several legislative processes, communication, and research.
