The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) is pleased to announce the promotion of Sharon Seepersad to the position of Director of Administration and Member Services. In her new position, Sharon will take on a senior administrative leadership role and be responsible for ensuring the OACP continues to provide excellent member services to senior police leaders in federal, provincial, municipal, and Indigenous police organizations in the Province of Ontario.
“Sharon has established herself as a true professional in the policing community and it has been my great honour to have worked with her for many years,” said Jeff McGuire, OACP Executive Director. “Sharon’s commitment to Ontario’s Police leaders in her new role will contribute strongly to the continued success of the OACP.”
“It has always been an honour to work with the OACP staff members and police leaders in our province to advance the community safety of all Ontarians and the well-being of members of Ontario police services. Joining the OACP was a way to honour my late father, who was a well-respected Inspector with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. I look forward to continuing to be of service to OACP members in my new role.” said Ms. Seepersad.
Sharon joined the OACP in 2010 as Manager of Administration and Member Services and brings more than 20 years of administrative experience to the OACP. Prior to joining the voice of Ontario’s police leaders, she worked as an office manager in the private sector.
A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Sharon is an accomplished manager who has a proven track record of service in the areas of organizational leadership, finances, and event management.
Sharon is a graduate of St. Stephen’s College, Trinidad and Tobago and lives with her family in Brampton, ON.
