The Constable Selection System (CSS) is two years old! On January 1, 2020, the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) launched a new system to assist Ontario police services in recruiting and pre-screening the best candidates for the positions of Police Constable and Special Constable. Over the past two years, the CSS has helped hundreds of new police recruits join our policing community.
The system is now more effective and efficient in attracting quality candidates to the policing profession while also being more accessible and affordable for potential recruits. We are also proud that the CSS is now more responsive to the rapidly changing recruit selection requirements of Ontario police services.
Starting next week, we will be launching a new CSS blog that will help both recruiters and potential candidates stay up-to-date on CSS news. Look for the new blog on both the OACP website and the CSS website!
