Since its debut in 2005, the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police’s (OACP) HQ Magazine has brought our members and readers exceptional articles covering issues that matter to Ontario police leaders and anyone interested in contemporary policing issues. It has served the policing community by featuring content pertinent to the success of police organizations across the province.
In order to provide our readers with more user-friendly, easy-to-read, and easy-to-share access to our publication, we are proud to introduce you to the HQ AnswerApps Digital Magazine. HQ’s digital edition is now a mobile responsive version created by AnswerApps. We are following the trend and the user shift to mobile, which provides better access to content, and makes it easier to share and enjoy – a better solution for readers and a better solution for stakeholders.
HQ’s digital edition is available at HQ Magazine HUB (fthinker.ca). Go to the website today. You’ll find all the articles from the most recent as well as past issues.
We are also very excited to let readers know that between issues early in the new year and next summer, we’ll be posting bonus articles, starting with a new article on Canada’s First Indigenous Emergency Operations Center by Ernie Louttit, Emergency Planning and Community Engagement Coordinator, ISN Maskwa:

OACP members, researchers, academics, policy-makers, and other partners: submit short articles that will be published each month and highlighted on the website.
Similar to submissions for the HQ Magazine, if you are interested in writing an article for our digital version, the subject of your article must be relevant to contemporary policing and be of importance to Ontario’s police leaders and police personnel. This can include new innovative projects and practices from your police organization, emerging academic research, commentary on current and emerging issues impacting policing, etc.
Proposals (maximum 150 words) can be submitted via email to Joe Couto at (jcouto@oacp.ca).
