Ontario police leaders attending the 2022 Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police’s (CACP) Annual Conference in Quebec City from August 7 to 9 can look forward to a number of exciting sessions featuring OACP members/staff:
- OACP President Nishan Duraiappah will participate in a panel discussion co-moderated by Deputy Chief Shirley Hilton (Waterloo Regional PS and Zone 5 Director) on “Transforming Police Culture Towards a Partnership and Collaborative-Centred Model of Community Safety and Well-being.”
- OACP Director of Government Relations and Communications Joe Couto will moderate a session on “Police Leaders Riding the Political Wave”, which includes Charles Payette (Peel Regional Police).
- Ottawa PS Interim Chief Steve Bell and Rama PS Jerry Swamp will participate in a panel on “The New Normal: the Protesting Public.”
