The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) was established in 1951 and, on the occasion of the Association’s 70th anniversary year, several activities are being undertaken to celebrate and observe the progress made by Ontario’s police leaders over the past seven decades. The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police’s (OACP) Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Network has begun planning for its Fall Symposium entitled Biases and Policing Employment Practices, which will take place on October 27, 2021. This virtual event will feature speakers on bias, recruiting, retention and promotion, and data collection in policing employment practices.
