The Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (IPC) has recently released Facial Recognition and Mugshot Databases: Guidance for Police in Ontario.
It offers practical recommendations to help police in Ontario mitigate potential privacy risks associated with using facial recognition technology to search mugshot databases, which can impact privacy and human rights.
