Mental Wellness is Everyone’s Priority

Ontario’s police leaders are united in making our police personnel’s mental well-being a top priority. We are partnering with the Public Services Health & Safety Association (PSHSA) to promote their resources.  The PSHSA has a series of mental health webinars that were delivered over the past several months and are available to all police personnel. These resources are available on the PSHSA website to assist those suffering from mental stress and emergency service organizations in general.

The topics and links are provided below:

Chronic Mental Stress and Resilience

Reducing Mental Health Stigma in the Workplace

Speaking to Colleagues and Staff about Mental Health

Important Considerations for Return to Work following Absence from Work Related to PTSD

Critical Incident Stress (CIS) Strategies for EMS

PSHSA also has two new offering:

  • A new webinar on Suicide Prevention in First Responders will be held on September 10. For the session description and registration, click here.
  • An e-learning module on PTSD and Anti Stigma Awareness.

As with all of their webinars, they can be accessed individually or licensed for use on an organizations LMS. PSHSA has many more resources on the First Responders First website for:
