Crime Prevention Booklet (#CrimePreventionONT)

March is Fraud Prevention Month (#FraudPreventionMonth) across Ontario, so it’s fitting that the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) is releasing its 2018 Crime Prevention booklet on March 13, 2018.  We are planning a media conference in Toronto that morning to kick off our annual crime prevention campaign (#CrimePreventionONT) and unveil our new booklet entitled “Know Your Source”.

The booklet will include a wide array of crime prevention tips on such issues as:

  • Tips for Reducing the Risk of Victimization
  • Protecting Yourself From Online Fraud
  • Avoiding Tax Scams
  • The Facts About Lottery Scams
  • Facing the Opioid Crisis
  • Campus Community Safety
  • Stopping Auto Thefts
  • Preventing Break-ins
  • Risks Associated with Illegal Cannabis

Please check http://oacp.ca/news-events/campaigns/crime-prevention-campaigns  to access the booklet on March 13.
