Navigating Enforcement with Legalized Cannabis

The OACP in partnership with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to invite two representatives from your organization to attend a one day meeting on Ontario police services and cannabis legalization. 

The one day meeting is an opportunity for Ontario police services to share best practices, innovative approaches, lessons learned and map out the way forward in relation to enforcing the new federal and provincial cannabis laws.

The meeting will focus on:

  • cannabis enforcement and using the new federal and provincial legislation;
  • drug impaired driving and the rollout of drug screening equipment;
  • dealing with young offenders and the provincial youth diversion program;
  • collecting data and conducting research on cannabis enforcement and drug impaired driving occurrences; and
  • technological and Innovative Initiatives.

Presenters will include representatives from the OPP, Public Prosecution Service of Canada, the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General and others.

 

 

Registration:

This one day meeting is free to attend and will include refreshment breaks and lunch.
